Before I invest in a hundred pieces, what is everyone's opinion on it? Should I buy it or wait for the Nosler Custom to be available for my 25-06?

I believe the general consensus is that, dimensionally, Norma brass is of very high quality. However the heads are known to be softer than some other brands, which leads to primer pocket failure faster than with harder brass, when shooting high-pressure loadings.

Kinda disagree here. Norma brass is very high quality and will take quite a few loadings. A friend and I use Norma brass in 7saum rifles and have loaded them at least four times by now and all brass is in good shape with no loose primer pockets. The brand with the softer brass is Nosler.

I was told that Norma makes Nosler's brass for them. That doesn't mean it is identical to Norma brass as they may make it to a Nosler spec - or not.

Norma does make Nosler Brass they make Weatherby brass as well. It is probably the best quality brass you can buy for the 25-06. All manufacturers create a bad batch now and again. I would be less worried about Norma than the other offerings for the 25-06.

Good luck and shoot straight.

From what I've read it seems to be good stuff and right now I really want to get going with this 25-06. I can't find the Nosler so it looks like Norma gets the nod.

That's a pretty impressive resume. I'm sure it will accomplish what I want it to do.

I have been using Norma brass in my 300WM, 6.5-284, and 260 for a few years. I have found it to be superb brass with very consistent dimensions, and case equal or better than other brass, including Lapua. It's also available!!!!

Got 60 pieces of the Norma on the way. Should be here on Monday.

You're right, I thought of sizing down 270 or 30-06 but for some reason I couldn't get over paying for premium brass with the wrong head stamp on it. I guess I make things harder for myself than they need to be.:)

I really like Norma Brass. I use it for my 308. I have 50 pieces that have 6 loads and the primer pockets are still tight. As for internal capacity I can only compare to Silver State Armory and RP and both of the lots I checked have more internal capacity than the Norma. The difference wasn't more than 5%.
