What do you use to clean primer pockets?

Uniform the primer pocket with the Sinclair tool. Shoot. Deprime, ultrasonic clean with my Hornady cleaner set for 30 minutes on the highest temp setting using the Hornady solution. IF anything is left. I use the RCBS wire brush to clean. I will uniform the pockets on ever 3th firing to see if the pockets are changing.

My K&N tools came in yesterday. I cleaned the flash holes & uniformed the primers pockets on a batch of 100 65 PRC Lapua brass. They are awesome tools. I recommend paying the extra for the premium line. I used my Dewalt drill & was done real quick. By the time I did 10 flash holes I was rocking along. The primer pockets cleaned out more than I expected On Lapua brass.

This except mine is a Sinclair. I also use a screwdiver slimmed down to fit into the primer pocket.

A piece steel wire put into a piece of copper tubing squash the tubing in a drill chuck.
Grind the Protruding wire to large and small primer size.
Insert in cordless drill and clean pocket by the hand full fast.

I guess I make no real attempt to clean brass. Seems a step backwards to me.
So a scraping out of crust & loose stuff, along with standard vibratory cleaning.
Up front, the pockets had been uniformed with a Sinclair tool, and a screwdriver type tool from there onward.
The Sinclair tool would work for cleaning every time, but it's a precision mill that I wouldn't want to dull with carbon.

Whoever promoted the K&M primer pocket correction tool.... kudos to you fellas. I'm new to reloading, and have been using a Lyman case prep multi-tool to clean out primer pockets. It did OK, but after 3x of Lapua 308 win. about 1/4 of the primers wouldn't seat properly (not deep enough). With an electric drill and the K&M tool, the pockets are as clean as ever. Thanks for the recommendations, folks!!

Reloading is all about what not to do. Messing with primer pockets is causing damage to the brass and is not necessary.

Oh. Ok.

When the primer isn't seated properly (seated too far out) with a hand primer with the hand primer maxed out, what is the next step? The primer pockets were a bit grubby, despite a manual cleaning. I'm new to handloading and honestly curious.

I use a tumbler with stainless steel rods. With primers removed the rods actually do a decent job on the pockes as well as the inside. Hot water, Dove and a few drops of lemon shine and 1 to 2 hours and you are done.

I do the same with a Frankford, soap, Lemishine, and steel rods. Typically run about 2 hours. The brass is bloody clean as can be, but the primer pockets are still a bit dirty. Again, I am noob.

I don't use stainless steel rods. Not good for the neck of you brass from what I understand and have been told. Another thread for sure and don't want to hijack the thread.
