I don't own one. I'm not going to get one. I have unconventional reasons for choosing not to own one.

I appreciate that. I've got friends who probably feel the same. The BS the ATF makes you go through is definitely a factor, by design. Registration is the biggest one IMO.

My problem is, I would need to buy a new for the only rifles I can install them on, and they are very very expensive

Lol I guess it didn't come out quite right. No I don't think anyone should be forced to do anything. At least a case could be made of a suppressor actually being a health benefit as opposed to a mask. I do prefer a can sometimes just depends on what and how I'm hunting. Most hunting ranges the short barrel really won't matter so why not. Long range I'm usually running a long barrel anyway so what's a few more inches.
I like being able to swap from can you brake. Love them both just nice not needing hearing protection sometimes.

I hate they make it so hard also. Should be easy. It's just a muffler. Everyone agrees it makes life better to put them on cars. Imagine cars without them. The few that don't you sure know. I think they should be standard with each rifle and pistol then as your right you should be able to remove them and make noise.
I figure with tech now and days they already know who has what and how many. Don't like it but figured I would gets them.

I love my cans but I also have a couple rifles that are non threaded and they will stay that way. I like options

Don't you still need hearing protection with one?

In South Africa it's harder to buy firearms. Suppressors you just walk in and buy them

Yes you do! They are suppressors, not silencers like in the movies

That's why I can't seem to justify the expense for one if I still have to wear hearing protection.

Supressors should be standard issue with EVERY rifle purchased. It's as simple as that.
