28 Sherman pushing the 195s or 180 and has good brass available
7mm 300 win, with standard shoulder. Lots of brass, reasonably priced, will push 195 Berger to 2900+ without wrecking brass. I use a 300 win sizer(no/expander deprimed in a lee depriming die) for the body about every 3rd reload and a 7 rem mag die set to size the neck and just touch the shoulder. One pass through the die and I'm ready to shoot. I am going to get a Larry Willis collet base die, as I have cases with 6 & 7 reloads that need reduced just above the belt. Shooting a 27" X-Caliber 5R 8 twist barrel #4 contour on 700 remI have a Barlien barrel in a .284, I would like a long range rifle out to 1000 yds, any one have any thoughts?
I have looked at the 28 Sherman and the Mashburn, would like a caliber that the brass is not hard to come buy or form
.284 winchester is one of the top calibers in the bench rest community. If I were to do a short action it would be .284 winchester. 28 Sherman is a long action.I have a Barlien barrel in a .284, I would like a long range rifle out to 1000 yds, any one have any thoughts?

He has a .284 blank, not a .2646.5x284 norma
OopsHe has a .284 blank, not a .264
Man I have been there more times than I can count, haha.Oops
That would be my first choice but it's not something that has very many components available such as brass and dies and such. If I could build only one and could have only one it would be 7mm Dakota.7mm Dakota is awesome. Dakota brass is good and consistent. 1200yds no problem and very accurate
