Ballistic calculator

I didn't read all the posts so forgive me. Any of ur ballistic calculators will work correctly. It's just math.
It's our responsibility to input all the data correctly and make sure our components are doing what they're supposed to such as scope tracking , muzzle velocity, bc, & so on.

U don't need another ballistic program. U need someone to help u make sure everything is entered correctly and get u on the right track.

U will kick urself whenever u finally discover what ur doing wrong. Ask me how I know.

I believe the Athlon Argos 6x24x50 MOA is a SFP scope. If so, you have to set the magnification to only one a single value in the Strelock program. Ex 14x, then it will list the drop table to that set point.

If you use 24x, you will be way off, or 6x the same issue.

All Second Focal Plane scopes you have to pick One magnification and do a calculation in the program.

This is my guess to why all programs are so off for you.

Its a FFP scope. I switched all of my scopes to FFP. I haven't made it back to the range as of yet, to try some of the calculations that members on here posted for me, but I will later today. I'll post the results this evening.

I like Shooter Ballistic as well. There are some on here with way more experience and knowledge of it so I will let them explain it.

Shooter is intuitive and easy to use.

Sounds like you need a mentor to help you get set up

The scope tracks true, and all mount screws are torqued to spec. It's definitely something that im doing wrong with the ballistic calculators.

Make sure you entered the correct bc AND the correct value (g1 vs g7). I've done that before.

I used gunwerks ballistic calculator for years it was simple and worked perfect for me then they quit having it and I had some problems with the other ones I've used and it was my inputs that were off gunwerks keep saying they have a new one coming out but that's been over a year they do a good job of simplifying things I keep hoping they will get it running again I would go back to theirs. David

Shooter's Calculator is a free app. It works well out to about 2000 yards, that is as far as we have tried it. As long as you know your correct BC, velocity, and atmospheric conditions it will put you on paper with slight adjustments most likely due to variations in a specific rifle or unknown atmospheric pressures. Never had it be off by 8" even at a 1000.???

I checked everything on the scope the first thing. It's definitely not the scope, or the rifle. I'm not doing something right with the ballistic app.

Anything that runs Applied Ballistics is the only way to go IMO. Shooter. AB. Kestrel all will give same results with same input. Never had a wrong dope unless an input was wrong Which I've done many times

Is your magneto speed bayonet mounted on your barrel while using your calculator? The weight of the bayonet will change your impact points on paper. I don't know just guessing.
