Which of these in your opinion will be superior in clarity and light gathering?

Not specific to exact model of each.
But of the 2 which would better serve your hunting rifle scope needs?

Thanks

The Optica6 has nice glass. No experience with the Vx5hd but I do have a vx6hd. The Optica6 I had only for a short time. Ended up sending it back because it wouldn't track. Stuff happens and I'm not knocking the scope at all. In my opinion if they could "slim" down the Optica6 a bit I think it would be an even better scope. Lower turrets and not so clunky mag adjust.

Admittedly I have always been a leupold fan. I have purchased 6 or 7 over the years. I just purchased a vx5hd 3-15x44 with the fire dot duplex. Clarity is awesome edge to edge. I was seriously considering the Optica6, but could not find one to look through. I went back to what I have had success with for 40 years. Good old USA company still producing great optics. Couldn't be happier!!

I went through this decision a while ago. Ultimately, I found reports of tracking issues with both VX-5HD and Optika 6. Decided that I would never have confidence with either and decided to purchase Zeiss Conquest V4. Tracks perfectly, RTZ every time and has great glass. Check Redhawkrifles.com for demo's.

It is such a difficult question to answer because everyone's perception will differ. If you have the opportunity look through them yourself and see which seems clearer to you. My brother has Meopta binos and I have some old Leupys which I prefer over his and he prefers the Meoptas.

I've got the Meopta optics 6 3x18 with the 4d-diachiro reticle fantastic scope and the meopro that looks like the Zeiss conquest both are great scopes I think Meopta built the Zeiss for Zeiss

Doesn't really pertain to your question, but Zeiss is dropping their first FFP scopes this month. The first offerings are high end LR scopes.

I have 4 of those demos from red hawk and all are perfect. I would take a Zeiss conquest over the VX5-HD I have both.

I just purchased Meopta Optika5 3-15X44 to install on a CZ527 .223. It will not work because the Eye peace is so big you cannot cycle the bolt. I have tried to fined rails and mounts tall enough to no avail. The only way I have found to mount this scope on a bolt rifle so that the bolt will cycle, is on a Remington 721 long action with a Leopold rail and tall rings. I will nor buy another one. I assume this scope is built for a AR style rifle which I do not own.
