Need to Buy a Nice Factory Rifle for a Fundraiser....Which one

You guys probably go fishing at Lake Murval.

On a Factory rifle that I have experience with, my Bergara B14 HMR is nice, my Grandson 7mm Rem Mag in the same model was very easy to tune. If you have a 2500.00 limit, you may want to look at the Bergara HMR Pro or Bergara Ridgeback. If you want a good deal, check out TSS warehouse out of Tooele, UT. Order it online, have it shipped to The Pawn Shop in Sulphur Springs, they offer a lot of different factory rifles for sale with a discount. I have ordered my Shotgun, and two rifles from them and shipped to The Pawn Shop for transfer. Best thing, you do not pay taxes on the rifle, just a 30.00 transfer fee for the transfer.

I'd recommend a Weatherby. They have really diversified their product line and still make some beautiful rifles.

I wouldn't look past a Kimber 8400. If it were me a 7mag would be a great choice.

With $2500. A few Tikka's of different caliber's could be purchased . If one rifle is to be purchased definitely a Seekins

Buy a pristine used sako on GB, GI, or GA.

I would say go with Christensen arms they are pretty well known by just about by everybody that hunts or shoots

Personally, I'd call that East Texas, and I go to or thru Sulphur Springs a lot.

If your raffle is targeted more to the "general public", it is hard to beat a classic Winchester Model 70 for name recognition and quality.

I seriously question whether you will get more raffle tickets sold with a more expensive rifle, whether better or worse, go with the simple fact a $1500 Winchester will sell the raffle ticket just as well as a $2500 Christensen or similar more 'boutique brand.

A Winchester Deluxe rifle and a Benelli shotgun can both be purchased with your budget of $2500 and will have an appeal to a wider audience of raffle ticket buyers.

Seekins Havak would be my vote as well. If people aren't familiar, it's pretty easy to google and see what an awesome rifle it is.

I would vote for a Kimber, Browning x-bolt or BAR, Weatherby, or Dpms ar10 / Armalight AR -10. I am thinking an semi auto would get a lot of attention. Also don't forget Ruger precision rifle. That would leave some cash for a Scope and ammo.

a browning hells canyon in 6.8 western or 300 win mag or 300 prc or 6.5 prc would go over well
