Postal Rates , UP

Delivery has been slow….

Shipped a couple flat rate here today at normal price and was told it will be going up but don't know when, maybe when is now. I ship over 200 boxes of maple syrup a year and that .75 increase per box could cause for less buyers.

I think the "temporary" verbiage is dubious.

They showed me this at the post office.

Christmas just got a little more expensive. I might need to do all my shopping in October, so to get the packages by December.

Sorry that you "Quoted" my post and put an incorrect statement about what you can ship through USPS.
You can't ship "Loaded Ammo or Firearms" from the comfort of your chair using USPS!
You can from UPS.

I sold a metal detector yesterday boxed it up and went to the P.O. The box I "made" was 24"x10"x12". From Virginia to Texas, they wanted $100. I walked out. I knew UPS would be about the same if not more. So, I went to FedEx. They charged $72.00. I paid it because those were the only options I had. I am a retired(34 years) postal employee. At these rates, my retirement checks will always show up. Unless people walk out as I did!!!

Like it or not, USPS is still a corporate business and need to make the profit margin to stay operational and competitive. All prices has gone up, material cost, labor cost and shortages, etc. No business can remain status quo to stay competitive.

Speaking of competitive, use UPS and FEDEX if they fits your requirement. That's the beauty of having choices.

Good thing inflation will be transitory.

Individuals have a choice in that matter, too; no one is stopping anyone from doing so. Again, that's the beauty of having choices; what one does with them is entirely up to the individual.
