5 minutes on cleaning

I understand the fears of using CLR on a blued barrel, but with the stainless steel quality we have in a bbl, Sweets is just as worrisome , if not more, than CLR. I've used CLR with bare hands for 30-40 minutes at a time and had no irritation or problems. Everyone is different, but I just run 2 patches wet with 99% isopropyl alcohol after using, then coat the bore with hbn....custom bbl's and factory and no problems yet....rsbhunter

Has anyone had any experience using an Accupro product called Accubore for cleaning out copper?

Took me a few minutes to find it. Haven't heard of it.

Never heard of it but it has my attention.

Meh…I use Hoppes. I've used the more aggressive products but a few wet patches followed by several strokes of a bronze brush followed by a few more wet patches work. I let it sit overnight and the next day plenty of carbon comes out and even some copper. I don't worry about copper until accuracy suffers. I clean my guns frequently enough they don't get so fouled and nasty more aggressive products are needed.

I showed CLP in the video too, despite the fact that I didn't actually use it in the video. I made that mistake when shooting the video, simply because when I'm cleaning gas guns or lubing random parts... I always have it handy.

i have been using CLR(NOT CLP) AS A CARBON REMOVER for well over a year with no down sides.
a couple of blued rifles, no issues, mainly ss or nitrited.
i do not use bronze/brass brushed in most my cleaning.
plastic/fiber brushes, jags and patches
