169gr Hammer Hunter
3250FPS

He was 150 yards away, steep downward angle and slightly quartering away. He went 10 yards, and then stood there for about 10 seconds with blood pouring out and then fell over. Impact velocity was about 3000 FPS. Big exit hole from shank as well as two additional exits near it from the pedals. Performed just as I was hoping. No autopsy photos, I had a lot of work ahead of me lol. First picture is the exit side. I was really hoping to test this load and these bullets here in CA before my 4 deer and elk tags out of state. I have confidence in it now.

Very nice buck! I'm sure you worked your *ss off for that buck. My wife shot her first buck last Thursday with a 124g HH and it performed perfectly!
What caliber is your Wife shooting? I can't wait to launch those 124s....I know guys are having great results on larger game that I would have never considered shooting with a 124gr bullet.
The proof is in the pudding.

She's shooting the following:
Weatherby Outfitter in 6.5CM
Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40 with CDS and Windplex
124HH over 38.7g Varget (solid 3/4 moa)
2,868 fps. Not at top speed but accuracy is there and all shots would be inside 350 yards.
Her deer was taken at ~60 yards after a long day. We had the wind and was able to get her nice and close. She made a perfect low neck shot with little meat loss, DRT. 1.5 mile carry after the shot, we put 7.75 miles total on that day.

Nice! I was in D zone 🤘
I got a forkie in A zone California this year. 70 gr hammer hunter at 3660 out of 6 mm rem. Only 50 yards broadside. Hit just in front of diaphram. Massive damage to lungs and liver and tore up guts bad. Nice exit hole
Not much meat lost to bloodshot. Only ran a few jumps and dead Great results. Next test a wild boar in 200 pound class
