7mm STW Reloading Thread

I can't complain with the accuracy, the load hasn't even been tuned.
I will be testing this further, as this powder is working for me in my custom 264WM as well and is way faster than RETUMBO which is my go-to powder in most of my magnums, which I have many.

I was using H50BMG, before it was repurposed and refined from H5010. Always gave the top velocities and accuracy, with at the time, the heaviest long range game bullet 175 SGK.

Bought 3 jugs of the WC857 from Bartlett to try in my big case stuff, and in all honesty here, I wish I'd bought 6 jugs. This powder works amazingly fine for me

What did that cost you?????

I think I paid 65 a jug 8lbs. That's back when he was paying the Haz Mat. I got 3 of the 857 and 3 of the 867, which is just a wee tad slower. Wish now I'd bought a life time supply!! Although at 63 and 3 Cardiac Events( as they call them) I may have a life time supply now....LOL!!!

Thanks for the reply. At that you should have bought a whole lot more and at todays price you could have retired.

Works very well in the 25-06 with the heavies as well, so far anything I've tried with heavies. If my 243 bbl had a tight twist, I'd try some in it. You won't get blazing speed(decent) but the accuracy is very good. Oh, and a longer bbl 26"+ as it's dirty in a short one(don't all burn I guess). Just shot the 338LM with it yesterday, 246gr Hammer Hunters, and not a top load, 2940's vel over the chrony, groups were better than the 7828ssc and only a tad slower.

Yep, maybe so, but just couldn't do that to fellow shooters, that S**T just ain't right......

I'm 63 and thinking of getting a 50bmg. Are they Cardiac safe?

Sure they are!!...... If ya wasn't so far away I'd come shoot it with ya.....
