90 Hammers out of a 25/06 (or close to it)

Yeah Lapua is some kind of tough stuff, I always back off a couple grain from other brass as it's so thick and tough and by backing off a couple speed wise I'll end up where I do with standard brass. IMO, it masks pressure's very well.

Speed equals pressure and pressure equals speed as one of my best friends says.
Very true but the absolute hammers kind of defy that in a manner of speaking example my 6.5 prc max out at a little over 3300 fps with the 124 gr hammer and I'm at 3452 with the 123gr absolute hammer with some velocity still on the table same powder just more of it the absolutes ogive will not touch the lands but you can contact the lands with the drive bands the bullet builds pressure different

what's your preferred way of sorting out over all length? At least for a starting point?

I seat out too the first drive band when the bolt closes that's my oal check for lands contacting bullet with a magnifying glass and seat back starting at 25 too .30 thousand's and go from there you can seat back too last drive band and still get accuracy but being that the 284 case limits me too powder capacity and oal istnt a issue I seat as long as i can

thought it was an older one, think I have the same oldie on the bench:)

For me, AI is about reducing trimming not speed. IME, on all the AI rounds I've been around if one keeps it to similar and sane pressures one will pick up 100 fps over the standard round. 100 fps for me isn't anything to dick with to loose the smooth feeding of the standard case.

But, that just me and where I am in my loading journey.

I long ago figured out I can make rounds go about any speed I really want them to go:) All sans pressure of course.
I have never had the first feeding problem with the AI

My new Brux on my old 700 seems to have a thing for the 90 Hammer. Need to do some more work with it to know for sure, but initial work is good.

Anyone from LRHF been using the 90's in their 25's?

I have a 9 twist Brux and am not looking for data for the heavies please...:)

Many thanks, Life's short, hunt hard!
I've ran the 90's and 92's with stellar results but I prefer the 92g HH's
