What Primer Brand works for you in the Lapua Brass?

I use Fed 205 in my 6.5cr but have not tried others. I get great results.

CCI 450 is pretty much the go-to in PRS with any round that uses SRP. Never had one fail in thousands of rounds.

I ended up using CCI 450 for the Lapua brass in 6mm Creedmoor.

I use Fed GM205M in my Lapua 6CM SRP brass. Or CCI BR4 in my Daughter's Lapua 6.5CM SRP brass.

450's for me

I don't shoot Creedmoors but in my 6.5x47 and 260AI I shoot CCI 450.

Precision Rifle Blog has a plethora of information regarding bullets, brass, powder and primers. Got my 6CM load from there and hitting at 1085yds.

The last test we did with a 6 CM and SRP brass to find smallest SD's included: FGM205M, cci 400, cci 450, cci BR2, cci BR4 and remington 7 1/2's.

In this sample test we found remington 7 1/2's to give the tightest SD.

If you have access to several different brands test them all!

Nobody can predict best for you.
Only testing reveals it.

I have had excellent results using CCI BR4's and CCI 450's in Lapua small primer cases.

6CM S&B (They have been off the market for going on 2 years, Hoping to see them back soon. Thank God I have enough to last, so far..).
6BR and BRA S&B as well. consistent single digit ES.
Back up, Federal 205M.

I test every type of primer available to me.
In my SRP 22-250/22-250AI and 6.5x47 Lapua brass I have had great results with Fed 205 Match and 205 Magnum primers.
The 6.5x47 likes 205 Match primers while the 22-250 and 22-250AI prefer 205 Magnum primers. I also use Winchester SRP in the 22-250 for hunting when not using LRP Remington brass.
