Headed West

Hello all

We will be stopping in South Dakota for a few days (August 20-22, 2021) on our way to Yellowstone and my son and I are looking for a spot to shoot a few long range prairie dogs. My son and I would greatly appreciate any info or directions to likely spots. Thank you.

It's terrible dry in eastern Montana. There have been fires all over. I think you'll have a hard time finding a place to hunt around here.

The last I heard from my buddy in SD is the heat sent them mostly under. Early morning was the best bet.

Got to SD today, the corn looks terrible. Any rock Chuck hunting around Custer ?
