My budget .257 WBTY build ...

Congratulations , Really well done.!!!! I would love that bolt knob touch on my Weatherby Mark V In 270 Weatherby mag!!! Did you just cut a 257 Weatherby case case to get that ??? Very Clever!!!

I hope some butt head doesn't take a hammer and center punch and set the primer off.. 😜

As previously noted, Polished Knob did the work on the knob. I gave him the .257 WBTY case, and he used an inert primer of his own, so it is NOT live.

LOL. I was certain that it had the anvil and gelatin dug out and was empty. I really like the rifle. Your gonna have some fun with that thing.

Savage LA, McGowen SS (cerakoted) 1:7" 22" 5R Remington standard contour, MBM 4-port beast, Oryx chassis. I just screwed it together (not head-spaced) for a teaser picture.

This is my first .25 caliber. I considered the .25-06 AI and the .25 Gibbs before deciding on the .257 WBTY. I am not a fan of proprietary cartridges but I figure I give it a try. 🤣 It is primarily built for the 133 Berger but I will be trying the 117 Cayuga until the Berger is available.

You won't be disappointed!!!!

maybe I missed it somewhere, what did this rig cost you to put together. Always wanted the 257 wthby and as a lefty weatherby does a great job in their production. I pulled the trigger(no pun intended) last week. Just sighted in my brand new 257 wby carbonmark. in left hand from weatherby Awesome shooting with suppressor it was calm and accurate. I hope you have as much fun as I'm beginning to do with mine. I'll be hunting whitetail using 100 grain tssx Barnes. Good luck and give us a report

…..and between you and that Savage that total (thus far) will be shaved down to .2/.3 😁!
