6.5-284, Defiance, Jon Beanland rifle.

I have a rifle I'm gonna put up for sale for my son. It's a 6.5-284 built on a Definace Rebel XM action (medium action), defiance stainless bottom metal, Broughton #3 1:8 twist @ 24 inches, McMillan hunters edge stock, smithed by Jon Beanland. Freebore set for 140 Bergers, this action accommodates the 6.5-284 perfectly. The rifle has 107 shots on it, Broughton break in procedure was followed. Length of pull is 13.5, rifle weighs 7.4 pounds and has a standard Timney trigger. Rail is 20 MOA. Only load he worked up uses N160, Berger 140s and shot just under .6. I've used several of the top name gunsmiths and while all have been good, no one has been as good as Jon Beanland. As long as Jon is building rifles, he will build MY rifles.

Thanks for the good words. I have three rifles built by Jon, all three shoot small, super easy guy to work with who is detailed oriented and does it right. Someone will end up with a nice rifle.

man I like the gun. I'm gonna pass it onto a friend. When my son gets a little older that's what on his list and mine. Be a great hunter for all around purpose. Very tempting if I had some extra coin laying around. I like the 284
