I'm shooting one in a XP-100. Shoots VERY well!! I'm using WW brass, 40.7gr H414, CCI200 and 100gr SMK's. Loaded my cases five times with this recipe and getting 2680fps w/ the pockets still tight. May bump it up a bit to see what happens. Shot a BUNCH of milk jugs with it last Sunday and anything to 400yds is toast!! After that is gets tricky...so I drag out the 7mm-270WSM XP-100 from APS and let it do the barking!

I too have been interested in this one. It looks pretty efficient, I bet you could use 22-250 brass, the Sierra Reloading manual says they use this cartridge for accuracy testing for .25 cal bullets. Thats where you can find load data, Sierra Edition V. It'd be cool in a handgun too. I wish Hornady would make an 87 grain v-max, I just emailed them about it. Sierra says with 43.2 RE-15,26"1-10,you can push a 75 grain hp at 3600 with max load, also their most accurate load.

I wish Hornady would get off there arse and make a good 100gr .25 caliber pill...unless I'm just not seeing it!! I'd like anything...V-Max, SST, IB, A-Max! The SMK's are deadly accurate but not sure of there ability on game to 350-400yds. Shot some water jugs with them to those ranges and they occassionally needle through. Then there is the BT...could use those but saving $10-15 on every 100 bullets really adds up...and I shoot a LOT!

well I know they cost a little more but I am very impressed with the Barne's TSX.I used these out of my 257wby this past deer season in NC on whitetails and they flat get the job done..Give me a few for days and I'll be back out in WA State Then the coyotes are going to get the last 68 rounds I have loaded up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. But I like you after that I will probley go to something cheaper as I shoot alot as well. A 90-100g V-Max I would like to see.

Has been my go to gun for years for deer, hogs, and coyotes. You won't be dissapointed.
100 gr. nosler ballistic for deer, 75 gr. v-maxes for coyotes.
