Savage!!! I'd like to put one of those in a hog to see it pop like an over inflated ballon.

That really makes the 26" 300 RUM sporter barrel that's been sitting in the corner more appealing now.

Super preliminary results from the new 270 win barrel and the 139 gr AHs. Here's a bit of variety in the powder selection.

51.5 3049 Slight stiff bolt
52.0 3053 Slight stiff bolt + slight primer crater End of ladder, stopping.

Other notes:

This barrel seems to have potential. I have not been shooting for groups but each of these ladders is holding well under 1.5 MOA, the RL16 ladder was ~.75 MOA

I'll try Staball 6.5 next, then possible H4350. Then from there finish break in and finalize a load.

Great, so now I have to buy a MagnetoSpeed to catch my 300 RUM, which means I'll be justified in a 204 Ruger then a 20-250 then a 25-06AI and before you know it I'll just be another guy shooting lasers instead of thumpers.

Create your own wildcat. Perhaps a huge .358" cal (to my mind "thumpers" start around this diameter) and drive light-ish monos to 4K. The 350 legend is a ballistic joke. But the 350 laserthumper has a nice ring to it…

LRH pretty much turning into a Hammer bullets sales site. I sure they are great bullets but I am pretty sure they are not the only bullets that gets the job done. Sorry Bean.
