Looking for 25-06 brass. Found some at good price on gunbroker for cheap. Is remington brass any good?

Like many mass produced items, there can be significant lot-to-lot variation in the quality of brass cartridge cases. As Coyote said, Lapua manages to minimize such variation. I have found many lots of RP (Remington) brass to be excellent, and capable of delivering fine accuracy. If you need brass now, and Remington is all you've found, I suggest that you give it a chance. -Ed

If it's there, use it. Even if it's not as tough or consistent as some other brands, for me the questions would be a) can those brands be had right now when you need them? B) do those brands offer properly headstamped 25-06 brass in the first place if that's important to you? c) is there anything saying you can't try some other kind of brass in the future if these aren't fully satisfactory? And d) what do you think you'd regret more: buying them and finding they're not exactly perfect or not buying them and finding you have no brass!!! 😱🤪😁

Lapua certainly don't make 25-06 head stamped brass and as far as I know nor do Peterson.
Remington brass in 257 Roberts and 22-250 has served me well in the past and with brass being in such short supply it may well be a case of a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
For the five 25-06s I load for I prefer Norma brass but it has taken a huge jump in price here in NZ recently. A year ago I was paying around NZ$125 per 100 cases. Two weeks ago I received 100 cases that I had on back order but they cost me NZ$234 or US $165.

I have very good brass life in my 25-06 using Remington brass…contrary to the above statement, I have several 50 count bags from different lots/years and they are within 2 grains in weight of each other, surprisingly, the volumes are virtually the same.
Only issue I ever encountered with Remington brass is neck splits on a few casings on the first firing, annealing what was left was good insurance because no more splits occurred.

Cheers.

I use Remington in a 300 ultra mag , 338 ultra mag and a few 338 Edge rifles .
Absolutely no complaints on my end .
I have produced several hole in hole 100 yard groups on target . Took my last Elk at 1244 yards and shot a 26 3/4" three shot group at 3027 yards ( 1.72 miles )
All with plane old factory Remington brass!
I have never tryed any Lapua brass or Adg. They both could be better but I'm happy with the Remington so far !
Just my opinion here Guys !

If you can find any brass in these times grab it and go shooting !

has always been my go to brass. But then again when I started buying brass there wasn't the selection there is today. Have used for many years with never a failure. I have gravitated towards lapua and norma, but now have added other brands due to availability.

Buy the remington with confidence it is a good product.
