Hey everyone,
I'm putting together the components for a tikka 270wsm (10 twist).
I'm gonna try several bullets in the 140-150 class range, but also want to try the 124gr Hammer hunters. I understand these are built around the usual 10 twist factory barrels. I can't find any data on this combo. I've found some with the 126 hammer hunters and looked at bullets in the 130 class range for comparison info. Some of the powders I have on hand are H-1000, re 26, N565/570, H4350 and re-16. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Powders from 4831SC to RL 26 seem to do well for some. I'd start about 63 grs of 4831. If you don't find pressure go to faster powder. H100V or even H4350.
Edited: meant 63 grs of RL 26. If not satisfied, go to progressively faster powders.

Try some 117 hammer hunters. I was skeptical at first because it was light but all doubts went as animals just flattened out. My son uses them in his tikka 270 wsm and we will be trying some 116 grain hammer absolutes as soon as he runs out of HH.

I was going to venture far off 2nd base and mention this as well. The 117's really perk in my .270, speedy and very accurate!
