Suggestion would be to secure you a cheap deer lease that allows shooting in off season with 1000yds. You could setup your own range then.

That is a great idea. I am not a hunter so hadnt even thought of that. How does one search for a deer lease?

Maybe I could share a lease with someone that was only interested in using it in deer season and we could share the cost.

Being in South Texas should be plenty of "day" leases that might entertain the extra off season reveune.
Another suggestion would to setup a good 22 LR and push it as far as you can, 200-300 will challenge at first.

Not interested in 22. Been there done that...not ULR, but 40+ years in small caliber. Now interested in my Lapua 338.

Yess, I agree. But I am at 955 now so it wont take long I will be looking for that mile.
NO....we're all full up.....no more room. Stay back east where it's safe and not scary. You won't feel safe out here.

There is a range about 2 hours south of Shreveport, I think it called Long Range Alley. It had opened when I was still living in Louisiana and went out to 1,000 yards.

Just join a hunting club that has a power line right of way or clearcut you can see 1000.
