Stubborn Tikka T3X barrel

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor factory varmint barrel that I have tried removing today. I have a very secure barrel vise and a rear entry action wrench with a 3/4" hex. I first tried the dead low hammer to " shock" the barrel loose. Nothing. Same thing with a sizable ball peen hammer. Nothing.I then soaked the action barrel threads with penetrating oil for a couple of hours. Repeat and had same results. I then moved to a 1/2" drive long handle socket with 24" long pipe. Nothing.BTW, barrels still hasnt slipped in vise. I then got my MAP gas torch and gently heated the reciever all the way around. I then inserted the action wrench, used the pipe and socket......... it moved........ not really...... I twisted the action wrench !!!!!
Any advise or guidance would do me a world of good.

Call me crazy, but i clamp the barrel in a barrel vise, then use 2 12" crescent wrenches on the action. They have always required some heat with the heat gun. I try to avoid torches on actions or any action wrench that goes in the receiver. Hope this helps

Oh, it's not ruined. I'm gonna rechamber it to Sherman 6.5MAX......Yes sir. I did give in and take the easy road to getting this barrel loose but OMG it WUZ tight!

Tikkas are always tight.

Tikka's are one of the easier ones to remove if you secure the barrel very well and use an outside action wrench and a solid hammer, dead blows deliver no shock they are for pushing, I use a 2 lb splitting axe and I swing like I mean it, they spin of!! I've NEVER had to make a relief cut!!
I use the Rem outside wrench just flip the top strap over to the flat side and put it on top.

What if you swung like you meant it and forgot which way the splitting axe was turned? Talk about a relief groove? Just kidding my man. You see, you may be Big N Green but I'm Little N Stupid

Thanks @bigngreen for the info, what I didn't remember was when it breaks to watch out what's behind your hand!! Punching the vise table gave me flashbacks of backing off high torque bolts on my race car

this is the answer. You must use an outside action wrench. I actually didn't need a hammer, just all my body weight on the wrench. The hammer would cause the barrel to slip in the vice. The slow addition of my body weight to a horizontal action wrench handle broke it loose.

I had a 3' cheater bar, heat and all my 225 pound bouncing and nothing happened. What did work was a relief cut around the barrel. After that I gave it my all. There was a little pop and I went flying.
