I've decided to order a suppressor after getting some good feedback on here.

I'm really looking hard at the Banish 30 from Silencer Central.
I'm torn between a 7 or 9" and that one can be run in both configurations while staying super lite.

Anyone have experience with that suppressor or any others from their lineup? I think they're made by Mac bros

I love my Varminter 4.0 (now called the Banish 30). I've shot it with a number of calibers from .22LR to .300WM and it performs excellently. Honestly, I've never shot it in the short configuration because it's so lightweight, but it's nice to have the option.

I love that it's user-serviceable, especially after running a bunch of .22LR through it. Yes, the Banish is made by Mack Brothers, just down the road from me in Sturgis, SD and next door to Longrifles Inc. (LRI). I really wanted to "buy local" which left me with a choice between the Mack Brothers producs and Lane Silencers and their Scorpion Magnum model. Ultimately, they claim the same sound reduction number (34 dB) and the Varminter won out due to being an ounce lighter and a little more versatile due to the long/short configuration. Price was a wash. Zero regrets with choosing the Varminter though!

Also, Silencer Central was fantastic to work with throughout the whole process from start to finish. Very happy with my purchase and plan to get a Banish 45 to be able to run a can on my handguns and pistol carbines.

I love my varmiter 3.0. Can't beat um! Also 5 stars for silencer central! I have nothing but good things to say about them. I've ordered 6 cans from them and will never go through anyone other than silencer central.

Awesome to hear
Do you guys find them to have any effect on accuracy?
Are there any poi shifts after removing and then re-installing?
I know there's a poi shift with vs without, even my brakes have a 2 moa difference, I'm more interested in repeatability after taking it off and screwing it back on

Same here...even with moving it from rifle to rifle, they always shoot right where I left off. My experience has been that most of my guns shoot better with the can on than they did with either a brake or nothing.

Just picked up my Banish .223 a week ago and ordered another .22. I cannot imagine doing business anywhere else. What caliber are you installing on? I have 2- .30 caliber 9" they are 5/8x24 thread and I also have the .223 caps to install for moving to smaller calibers. You cannot buy the caps separately any longer (BATF regulations). I usually remove the extension from the .30 Banish when I install on the smaller calibers. It matters what thread size you have, but they also have the thread adapters available. The Banish .30 gives more options if you only are purchasing 1.
