Which annealing machine?

AMP all day long. Expensive but worth it. As they say "buy once, cry once". Precise, consistent, and it will figure out the setting for any given brass. I use mine to be able to get the most from my brass just as the OP stated he wants one for. You won't regret the purchase!

I have been doing annealing using a drill, socket and counting seconds. I'm now thinking about getting a machine. I don't do a ton of annealing so the AMP system seems a bit much at 1400$. A Bench source seems more reasonable at ~500$ but I don't want to spend 500$ if it is not good. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

Try to take a look at this annealing machine, www.topannelingbrass.it, it costs just over $ 300

I started with the Annealeeze and really liked it. Once it's dialed, away ya go. I did end up buying an AMP due to the fact ADG, Lapua and 28 / 26 Nosler brass are spendy. If you are interested in an annealeeze, I don't use mine any more and would be willing to part with it pretty reasonably, has 2 sets of rollers, magnum and short action along with standard long action. I've done everything from 6.5 Creedmoor to 338 LM.

^^ This. AMP is the best, Annealeez is best bang for the buck. Like @brotherbear67, I started with an Annealeez and used it happily and successfully until I decided I could afford an AMP. I really like not having an open flame.

I had an Annealeez, worked ok but I reload for MULTIPLE cartridges. I went with the AMP and have no regrets (except for the initial cost). Dialing for multiple different cartridges is so much faster for me the time savings and convience was way worth it (to me) as opposed to making changes on my Annealeez even after the various tweaks with changing various gas tips and reostat dials. After I purchased and started using the AMP I was glad I took the leap. I purchased one of the early models but still lust for the AMP's with the built in Aztech technology but can't justify it's purchase currently. Good luck with your decision.
