ELD-X and ABLR

This may be a stupid question but I am going to ask.... the ELD-X and the ABLR seem to be about same bullet as far as the construction. Or are the different ways of making a bullet do the same thing.

While they may appear similar, the ABLR is a bonded core bullet whereas the ELDX is a cup and core bullet with a minuscule locking ring in the jacket to help keep the core from separating from the jacket. Many report the bonded bullets not quite as accurate, but of this I have no personal experience.

There is a fellow over on the specialty handgun forum that goes by WVhitman. He has killed more game with specialty pistols, rifle caliber as well as pistol caliber than most people will see in their life time. He hunts all over the world. His experiences with the ELDX have not been good ones. He highly recommends the Nosler LRAB or standard Accubond.
I shoot the 130 Accubond in my 264 Win mag that averages 3350 fps and even on shots as close as 25 yards they react the same as they do at 500 yards on deer. Go in expand holding together and exit and deer are DRT.

I can't speak from personal experience on the ELD-X. I haven't heard many good things about it at ranges closer than 400yds. They tend to fragment with their construction and jacket combination.
As for the ABLR, I use that in both rifles now. The closest I have taken a shot with one on an animal is 300yds, and I couldn't have asked for better performance. The bullet went in .277 and came out over an inch, after blowing through a rib.
The bullet punched through both lungs and clipped the heart. The deer made it about 20yds before it laid down to bleed out.
