Debates are just that!
What caliber? Action Barrel? Stock? Trigger? Factory? Custom? Scopes?
They all have information to sift through. What fits my shooting style best? I'm thankful for this site for all the above. Men like Roy Weatheby... Parker Ackley.... Rich Sherman, hell remember the Lazzeroni wave...want to push that envelope! What if I try this? Top notch man to deal with if your a bullet stuffer for 30 yrs like many of us.... why not?! Keep up the great work.... we're all tracking your results, then again it's easy to ride the coattails of a system that works. Yes I believe that everyone should have a 223, 308, 06.... for the zombie apocalypse. But I grab my 6.5 Sherman or 6.5 x284 for wacking. The 300's are saved safe queens for T. rex. 😂

Ditto on the respect purpose of the thread!
Ive been staying out of this the last couple days to let it play out. I think it's now a good time for me to comment, and then close the thread after people have a day to read it.
First of all, we ALL make mistakes and say things we shouldn't, and my intent was to have an adult discussion on this so that we can put a stop to it. Phoeniceltic ended up being the scape goat because of timing. This was never intended to be about a certain post or person, but rather an attitude, that IMO, needed addressing. Throw the name SHERMAN right out of this thread and each of you decide which name you want to interject, but come from an attitude of, treat people like you want to be treated!
Im actually very pleased with the outcome, for the most part, because it shows when people can discuss things maturely, it opens all of our eyes and helps us to do a better job and helps the entire forum function like it was intended. Self monitoring is FAR better than Len having to step in and be a babysitter!
Just because this forum is all about guns, I never intended to form a firing squad!
Lets all move on now and use each of our God given gifts for good. Im speaking to myself here as much as anyone. If I've offended anyone, and likely have, Im truly sorry for that!…......Rich
Speaking only for myself I have gotten heated over more than one thread hopefully I have never stepped completely out of line I apologize to anyone if I have but I am working on that and I believe I've gotten better and continue to keep an eye on myself thanks for everyone for putting up with me also I'd like to add if it's getting hot under the collar for you find the ignore button

Guys, don't let this thread distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
