So I see these 2 powders as popular for reloading 6.5 CM

What makes one better than the other or is it just personal preference

I am getting ready to start reloading again and I am trying to determine what powder I should use
 
I would look at reloder 16 also if you're loading for the Creedmoor. Personally, it's all I use for mine.

Big difference in burn rate. Hard to beat the ole reliable H4350 in my opinion.

It seams to me that it should simple
The velocity at a safe pressure
Temperature stability
Clean
Economic rounds per pound

Within reason the latter being the least important
 
If you can locate some RE26; I have found it to be every bit as accurate as H4350 and provides a noticeable increase in velocity.
I rarely hear of anyone using RE22 in the Creedmoor but who knows?
 
As I gather RL-23 is an improved RL-22. RL-26 is supposed to be an improved RL-25 IIRC. I use RL-23 in 6XC. It's pretty slow but makes great velocities with moderate chamber pressures. Great in overbore cases in and 38-48 grain range. So far it's been doing pretty well in 6.5x55AI, .243AI, 6XC and 6CM. I've handed samples out to a bunch of friends and used it myself. Uniformly good results. I know it'll work in a 6.5CM but don't know offhand anyone that's done that.

My old coach liked H4350 while I like RL-23. We have opposite philosophies on burn speed. He likes higher initial pressure in the chamber, I like higher average pressure. My way leads to more sooting of case necks than his.

I dunno if RL-23 is supposed to be more temp stable but I got really stable results with it shooting matches in the desert and my ammo baking in the sun.
 
I'm pretty sure I've read to be careful with RL26 at 85 degrees and above. Stable until there and then strange pressure spikes have been reported.
