I am looking for a gunsmith to set back a factory Tikka CTR barrel. Currently has 2,200 rounds of 6.5CM.

Location might help with recommendations. If you were in Oklahoma I would recommend JMS Tactical in Collinsville. Don't pay them to cerakote anything but the old man sure can do good work with a lathe.

They charged my buddy about $175 to set back and rechamber a barrel that was chambered bad from the factory. Now it's a 1/2 moa gun.

Something else to consider:

With 2,200 rounds fired, I doubt this will be a one thread set back. The damage may go significantly into the length of the bore which will preclude a set back.

A used barrel may be quite rough on the chamber reamer used to lengthen the set back chamber. Some gunsmiths will not waste their reamer on jobs such as this.
