Just wanted to start a thread to see if anybody knew off the top of their head what scope manufacturers warranties were for the electronic components before I started going full nerd and putting a spreadsheet together for my own comparison.

Vortex is the only one that I know of that is Lifetime for sure.

Leupold - kind of confusing here. They have lifetime on their scopes, but a 2 year warranty on electronics. Do illuminated reticles only have a 2 year warranty?

what else do we have - nightforce, Athlon etc?

Swarovski and Leica are both 2 years on their electronics.

Great Thread PredatorSlayer, I have been wondering about this for a while. It would be rather annoying to buy an expensive scope with an illuminated reticle only to have it die after a couple of years!

Leupold scopes have a lifetime warranty, if the scope is illuminated it is also covered. I just got a vx6 back where they had to rework the illumination I think I bought it in 2013 or 2014 and

It was covered.
Their electronics with 2 year warranty are the range finders.

i thought this deserved to be outside the quotes:)

-It doesn't appear so. This is from the Nightforce website,
"The riflescope's electronic components are covered for a period of three years "

Athlon is no fault lifetime as is Steiner
Actually, this is from Steiners website. Looks like electrical components are only 3 years:

  • No warranty card needed.
  • No receipt required.

Warning! This thread is more than 5 years ago old.
It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
