Barnes brass for 300 Win Mag reloads?

In the Barnes manual it suggests starting .050" off the lands. That's where I typically start. In my 300wm with the 168 TTSX I'm even further away with good results.

Barnes suggests starting .050 off lands for seating depth. Image attached is a screen grab from their website. Been posted for many years. I've found it to work well in my rifles. Both the 6.5 Creedmoor and my 300 wm.

Barnes bullets was acquired by the freedom group I think about 5 or 6 years ago? The same group also owns Remington(since 2007) they also own Marlin, and Bushmaster. I'm sure there are others they own that I'm not aware of. The Remington name is printed on Barnes Bullets boxes now. And is at the bottom of the Barnes website.
 
I've used Barnes brass in 300 WEA with no problems. Some of these have been reloaded 5 times. I full length resize only enough to push the shoulder back 2-3 thousands. I shoot Barnes bullets in several rifles and have learned to start at 50 thousands and work back from there. I didn't get good accuracy in my CZ 550 6.5 x 55 until I reached 200 thousands. Groups at 0.50 were 1.5 to 2.0 inches. At .200 they shrank to sub .50. Note: Pressure will rise dramatically if you get too close to the lands. I learned that real fast!

They have less case capacity than Nosler, Hornady or Winchester. I had tried their ammo a while back in 270 win. Had 80 cases. Already had a good load worked up in nosler brass at 3020 FPS (not a max load). I prepped some of the Barnes cases and tried the same load. Accurate but 3125 FPS so I reduced the charge to lessen barrel wear.

I also had some once fired Remington cases from cheap corelokt ammo I had tried a while back. Prepped some of those and the FPS was close to the Barnes results with the same powder charges. I added that note because it was mentioned that Remington owns Barnes.

I have 700 rounds of Barnes Brass (300 W/M). I have to disagree with a few of the people here. Barnes brass is far superior to Rem/ Rem-Pete brass. I have many other brands of brass; Barnes is as consistent as Nosler or Lapua brass, its as consistent as Nosler or Norma, and it resizes like Norma and Nosler brass. I have so much R-P that I am selling off due to the trashy quality. I was also told that Barnes bought their brass from Norma. I believe the people by the evidence of quality of this brass.

I neglected to mention in my previous post that I have reloaded the Barnes brass 3 times so far. No complaints and I would agree it is high quality. My reply above was intended to caution folks that in 270 win it needs less H4831 sc to achieve the same FPS as Nosler, etc. Of course, working up from a lower charge is always good practice when trying different brass.

In my 300 WM load development I have consistently ended up at or very close to the magic .050" jump for Barnes bullets.

Its accurate with factory and I dont expect to shoot it a ton so not sure about reloading it but probably will this winter
I have some Hornady Nosler and Berger brass too but figured Id use Barnes projectiles in Barnes brass Thanks for the offer!

I'm running ADG brass, and can't comment on the Barnes, but the Berger brass you have is Norma.
