New member introduction

Good afternoon - my name is Steve Payne and I am a 51 year old dual skilled engineer, I have moved away from industry after 35 years and now Lecture in mechanical engineer at a local college. Shooting is a passion I have had for over 40 years, maintaining my collection is something which can while away more hours than I thought feasibly possible. My current project is a 17 HMR into a Marui folding L96 stock - any advice greatly received. Glad to be part of the forum, ive looked from afar and finally stepped up to the plate.

I love wildfowling, close range rabbiting with my THeoben rapid and I shoot at Bisely ranges up to 7.62/303 calibration. Modification is my passion - trigger polish and measurement for my AICS Airsoft chassis for the HMR action swap planned

The Theoben Rapid looks like a nice PCP rifle. I've been thinking of getting a PCP. I currently have a Spring-powered, (break-barrel), air rifle that feels quite different than shooting a regular rifle.
