Anyone burn Re#33 in a 6.5 PRC

RL-33 is way to slow. other options are H-1000 and RL-25.
RL-25 will give good case fill and velocity but a little dirty and more sensitive than H-1000 to temp

I use RL-33 in 6mm-06AI, 6.5WSM and 300WM all loaded with heavy bullets. I love the results, it is quickly becoming my go to powder. I would think it should work quite well in a 6.5PRC. One thing I did notice, the 6mm and 6.5 did not like mag primers and all guns preferred bullets loaded into the lands.

Like my 6.5-06 with the same internal capacity as the PRC Rel 33 is way to slow. You can't get enough of the powder in the case. Rel 33 does make my 264 mag perform beautifully. . Powders like Rel 22 I believe will work well in the PRC with 100 to 120gr bullets the same as it does in my 6.5-06. IMR 7828 also a great powder with 140gr class bullets in the 6.5-06 & PRC. I have Rel 26 & it is not magic. Yes it works well with some bullets but not all. I do recommenced IMR-7828 with the 140 gr. A powder which seems to be readily available. Try some & you might be surprised.
