Yes, at the same velocities the 250 will win. You won't get the same velocity out of the 250 a tip that you will the 230 a tip.

You're absolutely right the chart on the previous its comparing drops as same fps. There's no one case that'll push all em at the same speed. Comparing a 300 lapua improved pushing the 250 atip at 2900 vs a 300wm pushing the 200x Berger at 2900 is NOT an apples to apples comparison.

That's pretty obvious that in most cases you won't get the same velocities from a heavier bullet than a lighter one. Still, the answer is NO, the velocities in the chart I added were all different based on average accurate velocities of each bullet from a 308 win cartridge. The 230 was 2450 fps and the 250 was 2350 fps. The 250 A Tip while not an ideal weight or efficient weight bullet for the 308, it still out performs all others by drop and wind at 600/1000. At 1000 is where there is significant advantage. Can't say an advantage in all aspects as recoil will be very stout. Controlling it will be a challenge in competition. Even running the 250 at 2300 and reducing recoil and comfort it outperforms all others. It will be interesting to see how many show up on the line using the new 250 ATip bullets.
 
This is what the 300 Raptor or 300 Excalibur would really shine with this. Talking greater than cheytac based 338's ballistics. If they can push the 3350fps

The BC's are very nice
6mm 110gr- G1= .604 G7= .304
6.5mm 153gr- G1= .637 G7= .355
.308" 230gr- G1= .823 G7= .414
.308" 250gr- G1= .878 G7= .442

So like you, I'm curious about the .338. It's probably going to be a 325-350gr with a G1 in the .950 range.
