Looking for suggestions on hearing protection to use on a backpack hunt. What do you use and why did you choose it? Do you wear it all day long or keep close by and easy to grab? Thanks

I used to use those then switched to the sound gear. They are Awsome.
I wear them all day while hunting. Wish I would have found them years ago I hate to think the damage I've acquired before I had them. Simply by forgetting to put my plugs in or muffs on in the heat of the moment. I still use muffs at the range.
Side note the sound gear work great for live venues like monster jam. I can hear much better but not overly loud.

Suppressor on the muzzle, cheapo 3m plugs with the string draped around my neck at all times, another pair of the plugs in my front chest pocket.

the reusable multi baffle ones that are quick to put in not the foam ones.

I have foam plugs in just about every pocket, and a couple pair stuffed in my rifle sling, just in case. Been waiting for my suppressor for nearly a year, looks like another hunting season without it.

How is the wind noise with them?

Which one's do you use? I've been thinking about trying some out.

Confession:

I don't bring ear pro anymore. Then again I don't really rifle hunt as much anymore. I brought my peltors around for years, clipped on my pack during movement but just about always forget to put them over my ears after putting them on my head while getting set up.

I've gots the hearing loss for awhile now anyways, and I've been in my ways to long to care about it getting worst.

So I guess the take away is anything is probably better than nothing and don't forget to put your ears on that you've been packing all day.
