Which model Tikka?

Tikka ( and sako) are mass producing the straightest barrels in the industry . ( I m talking factory production here not custom or semi custom boutique shops).
Browning comes as second.
And then the rest is behind in term of barrel straightness. Norinco being the worst.
That is my experience working on about 5000 rifles in the last few years.

It is not just the Sako barrel. They have one of the truest actions, bolt lugs and bolt faces in the industry. They have been shooting sub MOA out of the box for decades.

Bergara is not far behind

Here's a Tikka... 6.5 PRC. It took it's first deer recently. 302 yards. It's a hammer.

Check out Iota and Mesa for stock options. This is an Iota

Imo if you buy a synthetic you will want to get an aftermarket stock as I think even in the newer T3x the stocks are very average compared to what is in the market.

However the wood versions of the Hunter in the fluted models would be a nice carry rifle without having to go to another stock.
In saying that I would still be tempted to glass bed it & or pillar bed it though.

I have 2 original T3's varmints in 260rem, both were in the not so fantastic plastic stocks.
The 24' version went into a KRG stock as a long range target/varmint rifle.
The 20' version went into a Boyds thumbhole laminate.

Imo you cant go past the out of the box accuracy the Tikka's bring for their price!
