Hello everyone,
What are some favorite pet loads for Ar-15s?
Spec's: 1-8 twist 16" barrel
Use: hunting predators and varmints
Thanks in advance

I'll have to look up my load data, but the powders that worked the best for me were H4895 and TAC. Those two seemed to shoot well with 55 grain Sierra HPBT varmint loads and with the 55 and 62gr Barnes TTSX's I loaded for deer.

It all depends on what caliber you are shooting in an AR-15. Your description could also fit the 6.5 Grendel. LOL
As for 223/5.56 Varget has worked very well with the 69 & 77s for me.

Good point! It's 223 wylde

I've been working recently on developing a load for 55 FBHP in a 16" barrel 223 Wylde. So far only tried TAC and CFE223 and CFE is winning out in both accuracy and velocity. Obviously work up to it to make sure your exact rifle and bullet like it, but I'm having good accuracy around 27.3 gr CFE223

On the subject of reloading also question #2 I just got a large am

Anyone using reloader 15? From what I'm seeing online most people use it for heavier bullets

I'll have to ask Lake City....
I can't believe you all reload for AR platforms. Wow!
I have a 1" moa guaranteed gun and with hunting in mind as post stated I can justify hand loading for best terminal performance

I have a 1/7 and tried both Sierra 77 and Hornady 78 with varget and it shot ok. (Maybe better results with a different powder) I switched to the 69 gr matchking and now it shoots 1/2 moa. I also use the 65 gr game king for hunting
