Calibrated Ballistics Turret is NOT Matching POI

There is nothing perfect in this conversation. Not a turret, not a app, not a scope, not a rifle, not one thing. Not mils or moa, and for sure not what your velocity is. We take all the tools we have and use them the best we can. There is some theory in the calculation that are made. He used some tools and found the problem. Now he can make the adjustments. To help him make those it would be best to be there and see all of the issues first hand. Suggestions can help sometimes but they need to be tested. To judge eash other suggestions in this imperfect and unseen circumstance is a waste of his time and the readers time.

20 moa is 20 X 1.047 = 20.94 inches. Your scope is NOT the problem!
So, I just talked with my instructor. The tall target he used to test my scope's tracking has actual moa measurements on it, so they are 1.047". Hence, the scope IS the problem.

Good deal! That tells you the scope is moving 0.26563 inch per click. Correct value for 1/4 moa adjustment turrets is 0.26175 inch (equals .25 moa) per click.

With the right ballistics program can just adjust click travel numbers and avoid sending the scope back unless you just want it fixed. Ironic that I have an older Zeiss Conquest that moves 0.26500" per click dang near same as yours.

Although I'm able to plug the adjustments into my ballistics calculator, I want it fixed. So I'm sending the scope back to Zeiss. My NightForce didn't have an issue and was spot on. We tested it, too, and it passed the tracking test perfectly.

lean something new every day--- saw your post and checked my ballistic app and just realized that the default "clicks" is in MOA, but you can change it to "inches at 100 yards" if your scope clicks are off just a bit--thanks!!
 
Any quality app will allow a custom turret calibration factor to make exactly what your dialing.
I seen many Nightforce be of that much and they won't touch them, most every optic will need some tune to the value, if this bothers you don't ever test any optics ability to hold a zero under fire, it's disappointing!!
