Going to start this for an info resource.

First off, I am not out for ultimate speed. But accuracy and consistency. I will be testing several powders however.

Rifle info: (Brand new, never fired-just picked it up on Tuesday)
6.5 Sherman Short Mag built by Axisworks
Lone Peak Fuzion TI SA
26" 1:7.5" Proof Sendero Light w. 4 port MBM brake
Manners EH1 w. Gen 1 mini chassis and DBM (this is a temp stock until my PRS2 BDL is built and arrives from Manners)
Accurate .300WSM mags at 2.970" inside
Timney Calvin Elite @ 8oz
Seekins 34mm "Low" rings
S&B PMII 5-20×50US w. H2CMR
Vortex Lo Pro level

I am starting with two powders that have performed very well in my other 6.5SS, and several other guy's 6.5SSs.

H1000 & RL23

I will probay be trying RL26, possibly Retumbo, and NV565.

ADG brass (already fire formed in my other 6.5SS) this chamber is .002" shorter than my old one.
Shoulder was at (w. .420 comp):
Fired in old chamber 1.564"
Bumped to 1.562" (this length, the new bolt closed, but I could feel it dragging)
Bumped to 1.560", closes like butter

Fed GM215M
Berger 6.5mm 156 Elite Hunter

To the lands:
COAL: 2.980"
CBTO: 2.288"

I loaded up some sighters and test rounds with H1000 and RL23 to start.

Starting at .010" jump to lands.
COAL 2.970", CBTO 2.278"

Here is a 156 EH @ .010" jump vs. 140 Hybrid @ .020" jump.

New 156 EH @ 2.279" CBTO .010" jump

Bullet seems seated almost perfectly in the neck to me

Should be shooting on Sunday. Cross your fingers.

Very nice !
What does it(unless you named it) weight minus the bipod ?

Always look forward to your shooting Lance. Will you do a head to head with the 150 sierria now that you have the 7.5 tw??
