Worst thing you have purchased for reloading

C&H primer pocket swagger just never was very happy with the results from it. Have since started buying fully processed LC brass or new LC brass.

Not me but a friend bought a Lee powder scale. Worst piece of junk I have ever seen for trying to weigh anything. I guess the Hornady neck turning tool has been about the most problematic tool I have used in reloading. It works but is hard to adjust and get a clean cut.

Cheap digital scale thinking it would be faster. After a major overpressure round went off and had smoke coming out around my bolt I tested it vs a good 'ol RCBC beam scale. I now take it slow and precise using a beam scale.

Some of the new generation digital scales are not bad at all. I have a Hornady and the cal stays rock solid.

Mine was to different powder auto dispensers (The RCBS Charge master) I realy thought these would improve my loading time and accuracy, They did not. I bought one and found that half the time was spent dumping error charges. So based on other peoples recommendations I bought another one to speed up the process (Some had as many as 3).

I sold both of my Charge masters and have never looked back. and of all the poor choices I have made for reloading this has been the most costly one.

Its the single best think I got for my reloading bench(OOpps wrong thread :D)

I rarely get a bad throw now(maybe 1 in 40 that's .1 over) & that's also with speeding up the throw by changing the codes.
I love the RCBS charge master!

The worst thing I have is an RCBS uniflow I git in my kit, that thing is useless!

Tubb reloading die set for a 6XC..
Touted as the 'Ferrari of die sets', costing quite a bit, and potentially raising the value of my T2000 gun, I tried it. First time I went to bump a shoulder I had the case stick so bad that I had to send the barrel off to a far better die maker to have the brass carefully machined out. That guy also checked out my Tubb's sizing die and reported that he could barely tell it was supposed to be for 6XC. That it was attempting to down size pretty much everywhere by ~8-10thou!

Told him to send my barrel with a better sizing die & toss Tubb's set in the nearest dumpster. I fight injustices by warning others. Every chance I get, for the rest of my life.

I am relatively new to reloading but I can't stand my Forster classic case trimmer. Can't wait to try another option when I find the right one.

Personally, Lyman aerosol case lube.

Winchester rifle and pistol brass. Poor quality control, way too many defects.

Not only was my last batch of Winchester brass flawless, there was 51 in the bag...
