B&C or Stockys

I'm going to purchase a new stock for my Rem mod. 700 300 RUM. I putting a Sendero barrel on it so I need a bigger barrel channel for it. It has an HS Precision stock on it now with full aluminum bedding block from tang/grip to end of forearm. Bell and Carlson are the same. From end to end. I have one on my Tikka and another HS on my Ruger. I like them and the idea. Stockys have just the aluminum action bedding block. Is that a disadvantage? The Stockys are on sale for $188. B&C aren't and are $272. The B&C says 2 pds. Stockys 2.5 pds. Length of pull 14.625 for B&C. 14.5 for Stockys. I like the longer pull. My question is the block through forearm better and worth the $84 more ? Thinking of going with B&C again ????

This site isn't working for me tonight.
Nothing wrong with HS stock. I'm putting a Sendero barrel on it so the barrel channel is too small. I'm not sure I can or want to enlatge it myself. It has an aluminum block all the way to the foreend also.

I'm not sure if you saw this thread, but some guys shared their experiences with the stocky's composite stock you are referring to. I am basically trying to decide between the same two brands as I have not talked myself into getting another manners. I love the one I have but trying one of these or getting a B&C vs dropping another 600 on a manners is pretty tempting. My buddy has all B&C on his guns and they all shoot great. I would love another manners but saving a little money with this one would be nice as I have some big life events going on right now.

i just had a mcmillan built for my rem 700 260 rem target rifle and they did a great job and you can choose options such as pillars

OK. The Sendero stock is an HS with a larger channel.
I have a spare I would sell if you're interested.

I ordered a thumbhole stock from Stockys yesterday most their Rem 700 stocks were on sale for $188. B&C weren't and were $272. I didnt see any B&C thumbhole stocks .
 
I had a couple Ruger MKII's in Hogue stocks with just the aluminum pillars. I bedded the recoil lug, and both rifles shot sub MOA. I'm no benchrest guy, but I was impressed.

I have an HS stock on my Ruger MkII in 7mm rem mag. I like it. With heavy bullets it's sub MOA. Has the same stock on my Rem 300 rum . I like it but putting a sendero barrel on it. Need needed a new stock.

I had a 300 RUM Sendero. It had a under reamed chamber. Factory ammo I had to force the bolt closed. I experimented with shortening the shell holder so the shoulder would be pushed back a little. Never could get it to close properly. I traded it to someone here, he was going to rebarrel it as a 338 Edge. I guess that long winded story was a way of saying I loved those stocks, especially on the VSSF-II with the green spladder.
