Mauser 18

I'm not sure where you're getting this price but Scope List is showing only 3 chambers in stock but less than the $499.00 you state. (.30-06, .300 Win. Mag, 7mm Rem Mag)

Everyone else who has any stock at all is showing $600.00 or higher.

I read it, I wonder where the "street price" will land? The push feed segment of the market is pretty full of bargains like Ruger Americans, Howas etc. that perform exceptionally well given their price. I personally didn't see anything the new mauser offered that would make me pay extra over a Howa.

IMO they ought to work on making their classic crf more affordable.

Some day, after you've programmed your CNC mill to make an M98 action and actually debugged and made a usable part, you'll see why that price is so high.;) A look at all the manufacturers who make a modern M98 action have a basically high prices. It's isn't a round tube like most of the other actions. There is a lot of different geometry and shapes, all of which require some work to machine.

The m18 in 6.5 PRC looks tempting. But I haven't handled one anywhere before, so im kind of skeptical ordering one blindly.
I have been looking at them too. I don't think the barrel is threaded on these and I like to run a break on most rifles. I'm a big fan of Browning X bolts, so I'm saving my money.

Howa all come threaded...I have bought 9 since January for family and friends... have 3 for myself. You are going to be hard pressed to find the superior accuracy these guns deliver in any gun under $5000.00

I have a Howa mini action as well, amazing for the price. I may be mistaken but I don't believe the Mauser comes threaded.

Sauer 100 and the m18 are pretty much same rifle, sauer offers several other variations of stock/coating. They're somewhat one covers all action like a Tikka, same length on sa and la cases, not ideal for long oal of full length cases but would probably work well for a sa case. I don't care for the idea of a press fit barrel, the tennon isn't threaded. But it does work, I've read reviews on a few prc rifles that appeard to shoot great with box ammo. They're not expensive, there pretty light, supposedly have a very nice adjustable trigger. Buy one and give it a shot. The sauer has been reviewed higher in accuracy from the mauser models I've read. Let us know how it performs if you get one!
