270 wsm Lee collet neck size dies

Hello guys
I'm seeking advise on Lee collet dies from our reloaders. I would like to give them a try but Lee collet dies are available only for the 300 in the WSM line. Other WSM caliber Lee collet dies are available by special order and are a bit spendy.

I have both a 270 wsm and 7 wsm (among others). I was wondering if one could swap out the collet and mandrel in the 300 wsm with those from another Lee collet die in the desired caliber. I am assuming it can't be done because no one has brought it up before that I can find.

I have never found them worth putting down my hard earned money on. the Lee collet dies that my friend, well ex-friend, used on his 22-250 messed up the brass to the point I had to anneal and full length size them so he could use them. I keep finding that people buy Lee because they are cheaper than anything else and they are warranted for life and all this horse s!!t. I have very few neck sizing dies, I have most all FL sizing dies. none are Lee, one or two are RCBS, mostly a mixture of Redding and Hornady. the one other die company I use is Dillon.. the rogue sizing die I have is a Lyman 22-250 carbide neck sizing die (nickeled 22-250 cases), my 22-250 loves this die for some reason. I get such good results with this die I won't use anything else in my 22-250 when I am using brass I have shot in it before.

I didn't buy the product based on price. I bought it for a purpose. The collet die does a couple of things that that the other guys don't or can't. I'm making 6.5 WSM from 270 WSM brass. The de-capper is full diameter for full length. When you clamp the collet down on the neck, it, IMO, straightens the case. It also will move the brass around and HELP true the neck thickness. It's a step and a worthwhile step when making brass from another parent cartridge. I have most everything short of Warner. Whidden and Forster Comp are my favorites. Good people to work with. But Lee has their place in the market.
