I agree....I use the Triad Tactical Stock Packs and the God'AGrip Hi-Point Cheek Pads....they work great for me without adding any substantial weight.

Padded cheek pieces do not allow the solid stock weld needed for the precise long range riflery. If they did, you would see NRA Long Range and Palma competitors using them.

How do you like the Tactical Works cheek pad? I've had a MidwayUSA one on backorder for 3 months now and the expected backorder fill was two months ago.

I use Mcmillin Game Huner Edge Fill on most of my custom rifles

Love them. I have 4 of them.

Just order a good padded stock pack triad or similar and go down to the walmarts and get a couple cheap mouse pads, cut them in strips and start laying them under the cheek pad of stock pack until the height is desired. If you cut them right you will never see them and they keep the cheek pad nice a padded!

I stand with what I said. Precision riflery requires a repeatable solid stock weld. Padded cheek pieces don't give you that. I never shot F Class, but I shot across the course, small bore and NRA Long Range. These are all.position shooting events with slings and aperature sights.

What calibre

I will second the Bradley as an inexpensive solution to your problem. It's adjustable and you can move it from one rifle to another without damaging the comb/stocks of your rifles. If $$ is not a problem, then order a new stock with adj. cheek piece.

If you think you might be interested in a chassis, I've been researching the Oryx chassis system. Priced very reasonable considering others. I have a McMillan A5-ADJ that I love, but I sure am drooling over the Oryx.

Saying that because a competitor doesn't use something doesn't make ineffective. I use Harris bipods and you won't find those at f class matches or many others for that matter

Bistoli cheek rest comes with 3 different height pads



Did the OP mention he was a benchrest shooter?
