The problem is much like texting. You dont fully know how to take what was typed, was meant. I went thru that when texting became popular. I didnt know how to take what was written because of different writings styles or choice of words. Sadly, I will always jump in to stir the pot.....there lays my problem...along with many more
YEP!

Glad I read through all the posts before commenting, it was starting to look like a game of dodgeball.

Anyway, would it be useful to develop a convention, something like a "do not disturb " card to let people know you are unavailable for the moment and not to approach the shooter until the card is taken down?

I belong to a club that has a detailed orientation. Lays the groundwork.

For load development I go early morning, no one there.

Other than that I try to fit in. I can always change up what I am doing to fit even. Even limited load development (different temps, etc..)

I encourage new shooters. Many better shooters thru the years have helped me unsolicited. They see good equipment and they knew I was making an effort. I do the same for newbies. If only to recommend forums/books/supply companies. I answer all of their questions hoping all of them end up better shooters than me.

I do help out at my club and I approach better shooters for advice. But I don't rush them. I will sit patiently out of the way for over an hour to ask a shooter a single question. There are a group at my club that go to Camp Perry every year..

That is legit man. That is one of the areas my post got construed. I love talking gun stuff but again not when I am shooting. When I am done with a string waiting on cool down or when range is cold I love talking gear. I espicially like when people try to tell me how this or that is better than this or that! It makes for good convo, but when it goes back hot discussion is over and it's back to work!
