Davis Tent

It's all inlaws too so I may keep the firearms in another tent.

As soon as I can I'm going to make a WTB post in the classifieds, maybe I can get a used one.

Good point old men pee a lot...I know from (my) experience. Lol.

You should look hard at an 8 or 12 man Kifaru tipi. Way the heck lighter and made to order for this.

I talked to a few guys that highly recommended Davis tents . I bought a Davis tent last year . I bought the antelope tent kit . I upgraded the stove to the medium size " ridge " stove . I bought a pellet burner kit from cylinder stove that fits this stove . I'll mostly be hunting solo and I'd rather hunt than cut firewood . I got the ridge pole frame kit , I can set it up myself . we used it a couple of times in the back yard . hopefully I make it to Colorado this year . I had a last minute family emergency last year and couldn't go .

I've had an interest for some time in a bell tent but no one produces one stateside or one for under 1k....

If you are trying to maximize your space check out disc-o-bed bunk beds. Davis tents are a reputable tent.

Frank, maybe 4 guys in a 10' x 12' tent really means "Four 'consenting adults' head-to-toe." !!

Top of the line. I've owned 2 of them for years. Reasonably priced and top quality.
I would not hesitate to buy another from them if needed

4 guys? Two tents or 16x20 minimum

They make a great product. I have a 12x14. They are great supporters of hunting groups and rights. Every year they donate a 14x16 to our OHA Chapter (Oregon Hunters Association)

Been using a tent from EENA in Washington, 14x14 called TT. can handle 4 and it's light weight

I just picked up a 14x20 Davis tent with the awning kit, poles and stove for $500! I felt a little dirty when I drove away with it. The guy was the worse negotiator I've ever met! Ha! Can't wait to use it this fall.

I own a 14x16 Davis tent. They are great tents but the Davis family is even better. Salt of the earth people. They donate tents to Conservation groups all the time. I would say the size of tent you're talking about is small but it sounds like you have done it before. I think most of us think of wall tents as big comfy camps because we make them that way. Sounds like your camp is more of a backpacking camp which works great too. Keep in mind your cart idea is good for a groomed trail, I wouldn't go off trail with it. Me and a buddy drug his Davis Tipi about 1 mile in the winter on a sled and even as smooth as it was it **** near killed us. Haha.

As someone else mentioned for your style of camping I'd go with a Kifaru Tipi. Yes they are expensive but it increases your effectiveness and range. Either way you go Best of luck to you.
