Okay, I will just own this fact that I am a 4th gen Californian, but all generations have been Reagan style conservatives and are from rural CA. With that said, I just retired from Law enforcement and am looking for a safe semi rural place to raise my family. Gun rights are paramount, good big game hunting, and the ability to be left alone. I mind my own business, and don't ever want to turn the place i move to into California. Every state I look at, it seems they are not far from becoming blue. I lived in NV and would not even consider it now since the libs have a super majority there, with Reno and Vegas controlling the state.

Utah, Idaho or Wyoming would be my choices out west, if you move back east Missouri, Tennessee or Kentucky.
I am thinking of moving from Az due to all the liberals moving here. They are flooding the state after screwing up their own state. When they hear how pro gun Arizona is the first thing they say is " We will vote them out" well how well did that work in the last place they lived?

I'm also a generations deep Californian and this will be the first year I will not be purchasing a hunting license here. I'm done with it here.
If it weren't for my kiddos, I would be in Wyoming. But Idaho and some parts of Montana are worth looking into. Same with Texas... Colorado, Nevada and Utah are past the point of no return.

Sorry, CO been full and it happened too suddenly. The only stink of politics here was brought here. As with natives from most mountain states, we find that nature rules and politics drools.

Utah has way to many Californians attempting to turn it into another ghost state. Not my choice to live here, my wife's dream home became available 5 years ago, so we moved. My consolation prize is a 50 foot wide, 35 foot deep garage / shop (basement and main floor) garage on main floor due to terrain) which is under construction.

I am a native of Arizona, and it is sad to say that Az is fast becoming a "ghost state", as in becoming another Californicate. I get wanting to leave there, I would too. If you manage to get out, some well intentioned advice ; get your car registered in your new home as soon as you have an address. Personally, I see a California plate, I see red. Instantly. I know I shouldn't, but I do. Knee jerk response, I guess.
