It's so nice to see others saying exactly what I've been getting chastised for saying for so long. I wish more people would understand Operation Mockingbird tactics, and realize that they're being duped into spending more money on the S.O.S.

No, you get jumped because you keep saying they are pointless cartridge.

Yet, once again we have someone literally asking for EXACTLY what it was built for. It just isn't something you want, so it's Hornady bandwagon crap.

There's lots of things I don't want, that I ignore. But, if it's the same thing as a .300WM without a belt, then it is completely pointless. Where has the .300WM's belt caused any issues for the last 60+ years?

The market caters to the people. If they don't want a belt they get a cartridge without a belt. Here we have another example of someone that enjoys their win mag but wishes it didn't have a belt.

Well, times have been hard around here, so I haven't had as much work as I'd like. That's changed now...Finally.

I never said you didn't work for what you have, but don't say I don't know what i'm talking about, either, when you know I do. I might not have those cartridges, but that doesn't mean that I don't know all about them, their ballistics, capabilities, etc... I like to read-up and study them, just like the old ones.

I don't like to be at odds with people, especially random internet people, because it's just irritating as hell to have someone following you around nit-picking and contradicting everything you say, in an attempt to delegitimize you, but some folks just keep pushing my buttons...I'll leave other names out of it, even though we ALL know the folks I'm talking about.

I definitely hate the big box store people, too...Always have, always will. I use Hornady products, brass, bullets, and ammo, so I would never say everything they make is crap. That would be absurd. That being said, I do think their "new" cartridges are somewhat redundant and kool-aid punch bowl marketing. They're not bad cartridges, I just want others to realize what they're buying into.

The people do NOT create the market but in VERY rare occasions... The companies create the market by creating a product that is a solution to a non-existent problem, the marketing creates the consumer want by making the consumer realize he needs this product to fill a nonexistent hole, which then creates the demand for the new product. Marketing 101.

I don't know why this is so hard to understand...

I shot and owned 4 belted magnums all with short necks,,, all of them shot good,,, if your after a no belt with a long neck... Build a 30/06 Sherman...

It won't be a magnum,,, but you'ld be chasing the heels of a factory 300,,, Ha. Not...

You won't have to worry about burning to much powder either.

Good luck since you have a few options to choose from.
