I had a leica 1600 and couldn't consistently get a reading on antelope at 700 yards. The leupold 1600 has been flawless so far

Sig Sauer 2000. Fast, and goes out to well beyond 1000 yards. I'm always hitting rocks etc out to 1700 yards plus on perfect days.

I have a Bushnell arc 1000, works great inexpensive comparably. I found a Bushnell Conex on eBay reasonable as well blue tooth to your android. There seems to be a lot of nice ones on ebay, Natchez and cheaper than dirt yes even Amazon .

I'm really surprised your Sig was giving you problems. Send it back under warranty, like I did. They'll send you a new one. They did me.

Bought a Nikon Monarch 3000 as my first RF. I'm impressed with it. So was a friend who extensively uses a far more expensive unit (comp. LR target shooter). About $415 on amazon right now.

I'm not sure why your Sig Kilo 2000 didnt work. I've got one, and I've ranged deer with it at 1200 yrds., multiple times. There are better units available, but for the budget you mentioned, it's the best one IMO.

Sold it... I live in eastern Colorado and we have a large cattle ranch. It wouldn't pick up cows past 500. Hard to kill coyotes when you cant get a range...

Oh I've had it range rocks and trees to 2000... But for hunting it wasn't reliable enough, had to pass on a large bull last year because the *** wouldn't work. And I would have guess the bull was only 600 ish yards away, but without a range I wasn't going to guess

It works perfectly. Ionly bought the new one because i bought a package deal from them. A new 30 Nosler rifle and the rangefinder and a few other items. It has never let me down and i have ranged elk and deer out to 1800 yards plus. IF you are intrested
