Savage high country

Wondering if anybody has any experience with it yet. Just ordered one in 243 was looking for one in 280 ai. What's everybody's thoughts?

Looks cool, "high country" as in mountain rifle? Weighs 8# with a 24" barrel, not a light weight by any means.

I don't know about the high country but I have several savages and the are all accurate.

Is it a heavy sporter barrel?

I was looking for a new coyote gun a few weeks ago - really wanted a 243 and took a real close look at the high country. Ended up with a 6mm creed Bergara Approach, but I am excited to hear how this shoots. I love the spiral fluting on the barrel. We just bought my son a 223 in the new 110 storm and it is a tack driver with factory ammo. I am guessing this high country will be the same thing.
