338 lapua mag barrel length vs powder choices

I currently reload for two different savages in 338lm, the 110 ba & 110 fpc both have 26 inch barrels. I reload those with H-1000 & 300gr berger otm. I recently purchased the savage 112 magnum target (McMillan game hunter stock in route) & considering barreling with a 24 in proof research carbon fiber. I know I'm going to give up fps vs the 26 in it comes with. I have a ton of h-1000, how will it work in 24 in barrel

Same as it works in a 26" barrel.
